Using Photoshop makes you a designer like crouching in a garage makes you a car.
Hello! Good to see you.
I am a 30-something graphic and web designer. I’ve been in the business since 1996, when my favourite art teacher asked me to take over the design of our school yearbook.
That means 2016 marks 20 years of making art for a living.
I’m 100% self-taught, so everything I know has come from practical experience, and the desire to learn.
I’ve been a freelancer since 2001, and started working in my field professionally around 2006. Since then, I’ve been a lead designer, head of marketing, a lead developer, and once spent some time working on a farm.
These are my main strengths:
- Photoshop 95%
- InDesign 95%
- WordPress 90%
- CSS 85%
Most of my clients are small business owners looking for a good deal on quality design work. I keep my rates affordable so my services are accessible to people just starting out.
I also do my best to try to work within an established budget, whenever possible. No one likes to receive an invoice from their phone company with surprise charges on it, so why would it be any different in this case?
“People have been complimenting me on [our site] like crazy. Our clients love the helmet logo. A few people have even asked us if we are the rockstars of asbestos.”
